Product Information
In general all of our products have certain characteristics in common:
Lamin8 comes standard with a scratch resistance of 4H. The market standard is 3H. We have specially arranged this for market advantage. If one goes above 4H the film starts to become very brittle.
All of the film we sell locally is a double polyester layer. This increases the film stress resistance from impact. The colour is also stored in-between the polyester layers ensuring that there is no run off during the installation.
We use the highest quality adhesive. It is unfortunately not very well known that the stronger the adhesive, the more protection is offered to the consumer against flying shards during an accident or a smash and grab attack.
All of our film is produced in line with ISO 9001 standards.
SuperShade
SuperShade is our premium 39 micron product.
SuperShade is a basic 39 micron organic film used for the back windscreen of a motor vehicle. It is highly durable, easy to mould to the contours of a windscreen and is a fitter’s product of choice. The warranty of SuperShade is five years. The end user will never have to worry about pealing, pulling, bubbling and fading.
Guardian-Pro
Guardian-Pro is a product specifically developed to prevent smash and grab attacks in vehicles.
It also prevents flying shards in a building in the event of an explosion or forced entry. Guardian-Pro can be bought from us in all sizes from 100 micron to 400 micron and in all shades.
Enviroshield
Enviroshield is comprised of all the various films which are used for heat and lighting control in buildings and homes.
These films either reduce both heat and light, heat on it own or light on its own. The films are usually metalized using four technologies. Vacuum, sputtering, glazing and nano. The film is selected according to the desired effect of the builder, interior decorator or the architect. The client can also choose based on a desired look.
Designer
Designer is our own unique product range of frosted glass, offering a plain sandblast look or squares and stripes in various sizes. These films are usually used in open plan offices to create privacy but also allow light into the room.
Quality Control
Lamin8 is manufactured according to ISO 9001 and UKAS quality control management. These quality control systems were started by a company called SGS in the United Kingdom. All countries worldwide who are reputable subscribe to SGS in order to achieve ISO 9001 manufacturing standards. If a company does not subscribe to SGS they have very little credibility in the market in which they manufacture goods. Their goods are very often seen as below standard.
Not only does SGS give the manufacturer annual inspections and quality control systems, they also give minimum standards for product production, i.e. if you see the ISO 9001-2000 symbol it indicates that one can expect the very best from those products.
