MX1 Basic Security
The MX1 Basic Security package may be the entry-level model of the Matrix's stolen vehicle recovery range, but it is the ideal solution when recovering* your vehicle becomes a reality.
- FastTrac: enables our recovery teams to locate the proximity of your vehicle quickly.
- Insurance Approval: may help to lower your insurance premiums and assist with car theft insurance claims
- X-Ray Vision: enables us to locate the proximity of your vehicle even when it is parked in a basement or under a roof, provided GSM coverage is available
- Self-Powered Back-Up Battery: Keeps the device active, for a limited period of time, when your vehicle’s battery is disconnected or runs flat.
- National Network Coverage: Enables us to track your vehicle throughout South Africa, provided GSM coverage is available.
- Auto Test: We test the functionality of your device at regular intervals on your behalf however, monthly testing by the client is compulsory.
- 24/7 National Operations Centre: we provide customers with 24/7 access to our Matrix Recovery Service call centre.
- Dedicated Recovery Teams: although we work in conjunction with the SAPS, we also have our own contracted rapid response agents to ensure quickest response times

MX2 Enhanced Security
The MX2 device offers a proactive early warning system that allows us to identify potential dangers in the quickest possible time. While our Internet Tracking feature makes it possible for you to monitor the whereabouts of your vehicle’s current and past locations.
Additional offerings that come standard with the MX2 are:
- MX1 Features: All the features offered by the MX1 device are included
- Battery Tamper Alarm: a silent signal is sent to Matrix when your battery is being tampered with.
- Internet Tracking*: enables you to monitor the whereabouts of your vehicle’s current and past locations.
- GPS ‘PinPoint’ Positioning: enables us to receive the exact coordinates of your vehicle’s position
- Driver Identification Device: should your vehicle move 5km without the DID present, Matrix will be notified.
- Panic Button Remote**: enables you to transmit a silent distress signal when you sense danger by pressing any one of the 3 buttons on the Matrix remote.

MX3 Ultimate Security, Personal Safety and Convenience
The MX3 combines proactive security with safety (Roadside Assistance and Crash Alert) and lifestyle (electronic logbook) features, to provide a complete vehicle security lifestyle solution. This Matrix solution offers the following features:
- MX1 Features: All the features offered by the MX1 device are included
- MX2 Features: All the features offered by the MX2 device are included
- Crash Alert: ensures that should you be involved in a serious accident and are unable to notify help yourself, we will send assistance to your exact location.
- Roadside Assistance: should you have a tire burst or your vehicle breakdown for any reason, we will send assistance to your exact location.
- NoGo-Zones: we have knowledge as to which areas are ‘high risk’ zones. Should your vehicle enter such an area, we will sms you to alert you.
- Logbook***: enables you to generate an electronic, atomically generated logbook for all your private and/or business trips
- Service Notifications: you will be notified when your vehicle is in need of it’s next service based on the criteria you have selected.
