The JL Audio C1-650x is a 6.5 inch coaxial speaker system with a 6.5 inch woofer and a 0.75 inch aluminum dome tweeter. It is sold as a pair and grilles are not available.
Drivers use a mineral-filled injection-molded polypropylene cone with a rubber surround, a flat Conex spider, tinsel lead routing, a stamped steel frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. The edge-driven aluminum dome tweeter uses a silk surround and ferrous fluid in the gap with a neodymium magnet and a second-order high-pass filter to improve smoothness and power handling. Multi-application adapter rings are included for drop-in installation in vehicles with oversized 6.5 and 6.75 inch openings; without the ring the speaker fits many 6 inch locations.
