The JL Audio C1-690 is a 6×9 inch 2-way component speaker system featuring a 6×9 woofer and a 1.0 inch edge-driven aluminum dome tweeter. The system is sold as a pair and does not include grilles.
Woofers use a stamped steel oval frame, mineral-filled injection-molded polypropylene cone, rubber surround, a flat Conex spider and a DMA-optimized motor system for reduced distortion. Included spacer adaptor rings and surface and flush tweeter fixtures provide flexible installation behind many factory grilles; an outboard 2nd order high-pass crossover with tweeter protection is supplied.
