The JL Audio C2 5.25 component system includes a 5.25-inch (130 mm) woofer and a 0.75-inch (19 mm) silk dome tweeter designed to deliver smooth high-frequency response, clear midrange, and strong mid-bass. The system is sold as a pair and includes grilles and tweeter mounting fixtures for versatile installation.
Woofers use mineral-filled polypropylene cones, long linear excursion motor designs, and stamped steel frames. Tweeters are silk dome for smooth on- and off-axis response; the compact crossover uses Mylar capacitors and segmented air-core inductors, provides three levels of tweeter attenuation and a tweeter protector. Component crossovers and separate tweeter mounting require wiring to an amplifier or head unit with appropriate channels.
