The Phoenix Gold ZDAP-BMW5 is a complete Plug & Play DSP Power-Up Kit for BMW vehicles manufactured from mid-2019 onwards with a RAM module, fitted with Standard Stereo or HiFi Sound System (676). Kit includes the ZDA6.8 DSP amplifier and ZDC-BMW5 harness.
The Phoenix Gold ZDAP-BMW5 DSP Power Up Kit is designed for BMW vehicles manufactured after mid-2019 that have a RAM module and are equipped with the Standard Stereo or HiFi Sound System (676). The kit unlocks the full potential of the vehicle’s factory sound system with a simple plug-and-play installation.
The ZDA6.8 DSP amplifier in this kit delivers higher power output, increasing dynamic range and volume capability, while Class A/B technology significantly improves clarity and fidelity for a richer audio experience. The ZDA6.8 also features OEM Impedance Simulation (OIS), ensuring compatibility with modern head units by simulating speaker impedance and maintaining OEM head unit functionality.
The Input Priority feature allows integration of low-level inputs or digital sources (wireless streaming, Optical, Coaxial) without losing vital OEM system sounds such as parking sensors and alerts. Four free DSP-configurable RCA outputs (Channels 7-8) allow connection of additional amplifiers (e.g. subwoofer amp), fully optimisable via the DSP software.
Free PC software (Windows 10/11) provides: 31-Band Parametric EQ (PEQ), filter types (Bessel, Butterworth, Linkwitz-Riley) with adjustable slopes (-6dB to -48dB), time alignment with delay calculator, fully custom channel routing and custom link options.
