The Phoenix Gold ZDT-BMW2 is a 6-channel active T-harness cable for BMW vehicles (2005–2019) fitted with the Basic Sound System and a 40-wire Quadlock connector. Enables a fully active speaker configuration when paired with a Phoenix Gold ZDA DSP amplifier.
The Phoenix Gold ZDT-BMW2 T-Harness is designed for BMW vehicles (2005–2019) with the Basic Sound System. In the stock BMW configuration, the front door speakers and under-seat woofers share signal paths, causing the door speakers to handle bass frequencies (leading to distortion) and the woofers to reproduce midrange and treble they were not designed for.
The ZDT-BMW2 resolves this by separating the signal paths of the front door speakers, under-seat woofers and rear speakers, enabling a fully active 6-channel configuration. When paired with a Phoenix Gold ZDA6.8 DSP amplifier, precise frequency filtering can be applied across the entire system for each speaker, dramatically reducing distortion and improving clarity.
Installation is plug-and-play: disconnect the OEM harness from the head unit, connect the ZDT-BMW2 to the OEM harness, then integrate with a ZDC-ISO harness and your Plug & Play amplifier. Two 4-pin connectors route to the under-seat woofers beneath each front seat.
Key design advantages: largest possible power and ground wires for reliable amplifier performance, twisted high-level cables for noise reduction, extended high-level cables to reduce clutter, all wires tape-wrapped for protection.
