The PS165FXE is a 2-way component speaker kit that pairs a 6.5-inch Flax cone woofer with an inverted aluminium/magnesium dome tweeter. The woofer has a Butyl surround and a central phase plug for controlled dispersion, while the tweeter uses a Poron suspension.
The kit is supplied with a bi-amp crossover for component wiring and is intended for vehicles with 6.5-inch (16.5 cm) woofer openings. The tweeters mount separately and require standard component speaker installation and wiring to the crossover. The Flax cone design is patented under N1350116.
