Alpine introduces the R-Series 12 inch subwoofers based on the Type R platform, offering improved dust cap, cone assembly, and deeper, more controlled low-frequency output for demanding systems.
The Alpine R-W12D2 is a 12 inch passive R-Series subwoofer derived from the Type R lineage. It is engineered to extend low-frequency response and deliver controlled, accurate bass for car audio systems.
The design features a talc-doped mica polypropylene dust cap for increased damping and lower density, a Kevlar-treated cone, Santoprene H.A.M.R surround and a cast aluminum frame. The woofer provides 19 mm X-max, dual 2ohm voice coils for flexible wiring, 750W RMS and 2250W peak power, and heavy duty 8 gauge push terminals with banana plug jumper. Verify mounting diameter 275 mm and mounting depth 162 mm for proper enclosure fitment and match to an appropriate amplifier.
